Line 225 Force Majeure Update

SoCalGas continues to respond to the force majeure event impacting Line 225 near the I-5 Freeway and Ridge Route Road in the community of Castaic. A geotechnical assessment of the area has been completed and SoCalGas engineers are designing a repair plan for the impacted pipeline. Construction work is expected to begin in May 2026 and will take months to complete. Construction timelines may be adjusted.
SoCalGas will also be conducting safety checks and a required pressure test on a different section of the pipeline in Castaic between March 2026 and May 2026. This work is separate from the planned repair work and is not expected to impact the repair schedule.
Customers are advised to reference the Envoy Capacity Utilization page for the available capacity for each scheduling cycle.
