Subject
Northern Zone Operational Restriction

Notice Text
As part of SoCalGas's Transmission Integrity Management Program, SoCalGas will be reducing the operating pressure of Line 4000 from November 1, 2025 through December 18, 2025.

The unplanned operating pressure reduction of Line 4000 is a necessary safety measure to comply with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) immediate repair conditions identified by in-line-inspection on the pipeline. The pressure reduction will remain in effect until pipeline integrity direct examinations, along with any necessary follow-on remediation work resulting from those examinations, are completed. Examinations require the completion of non-destructive evaluation of underground pipelines at specifically identified site locations (i.e., "digs") to conclude assessment. The examinations comprise of pipeline excavation, pipe coating inspection, pipe coating removal, pipe body inspection, and engineering evaluation of findings.

As a result of the pressure reduction, the Northern Zone capacity will be reduced by 620 MMcf per day.

The duration of this pressure reduction and the corresponding capacity reduction are subject to change based on any remediation work that could be identified as part of the direct assessment.

Customers are advised to monitor the Envoy Maintenance Schedules for capacity reductions and Envoy Capacity Utilization page for the available capacity at all locations for each scheduling cycle.
