Grande Prairie Mainline Loop No. 4 (Valhalla North Section) and Berland River CS C3 Unit Addition Project Update
NGTL GP on behalf of NGTL Limited Partnership (NGTL) is providing an update on its Grande Prairie Mainline Loop No. 4 (Valhalla North Section) and Berland River CS C3 Unit Addition Project (Project). The regulatory process for approval of the electric transmission line required to power the Berland River portion of the Project has been delayed. Assuming close of the Regulatory proceeding in September 2025 and if regulatory approval for the electric transmission line is not received before October 2025, the new forecasted in-service timing for the Project is Q1 2027. NGTL is exploring various options to mitigate impacts to the in-service timing and will provide further communication as we learn more information. Should regulatory approval of the electric transmission line be delayed further or approval be denied, the realization of capacity additions from subsequent planned or proposed projects that require the Project to be in service to achieve their capacity benefit may also be delayed. Further information will be provided at the monthly Customer Operations meeting on Thursday May 1, 2025 at 1:30pm MT.
Marketing Representatives will be reaching out to each customer who has contracts dependent on the Project.
NGTL will provide updates related to the Project at the TTFP, monthly Customer Operations meetings and directly with Customers that hold pending contracts dependent on the Project as appropriate. Any significant change to an in-service timing will be provided to all Customers via bulletin.
