PHMSA MEGA RULE–- ELIGIBLE PROJECT - SEGMENT 13 – AMARILLO #3 M/L – CS 107/108 – ILI TOOL RUNS
In accordance with its FERC Gas Tariff and as posted on Natural's Outage Impact Report (X25-1166550); as part of Natural's ongoing pipeline Integrity Management Program, Natural will perform a series of ILI tool runs on its Amarillo #3 mainline between Compressor Station 107 (CS 107) located in Mills County, Iowa and Compressor Station 108 (CS 108) located in Warren County, Iowa (Segment 13 of Natural's Amarillo Mainline Zone). The tool runs will require Natural to reduce the operating capacity, thus limiting Natural's throughput capacity northbound through CS 108. Once the data from the tool runs have been analyzed, any remediation work impacting shippers will be posted.
This remediation project is pursuant to the PHMSA Mega Rule and as set forth in its Tariff, is an Eligible Project (ID 4819) included on the Eligible Project List posted on Natural's internet website. See Eligible Project ID, line name and location identified below (Appendix F- Docket No. RP22-1222 Settlement). This outage is subject to the provisions of Section 5.2 (c) (5) of the General Terms and Conditions of Natural's FERC Gas Tariff.
Project ID Line Name Location/Segment No.
4819 AMARILLO #3 MAINLINE SEGMENT 13
The scheduling constraint will be upstream of CS 108 at the beginning of Segment 13; therefore, any gas received south of Segment 13 for delivery north of Segment 13 will be impacted for the duration of the restriction. Receipts from Trailblazer Gage (LOC 902900) are south of CS 107 and will be impacted for the duration of the restriction. Northern Natural Mills (LOC 900203) is located downstream of the Segment 13 constraint location. For scheduling purposes, the Amarillo Pool (LOC 10566) is located south of the constraint. Additionally, firm transportation associated with storage withdrawals or injections may be impacted.
As such, effective on the gas days indicated below, Natural will schedule Primary Firm and Secondary in-path Firm transports to no less than 44% of contract MDQ northbound through CS 107. AOR/ITS and Secondary out-of-path Firm transports will not be available for the duration of the restriction.
TOOL RUN DATES:
Gas day Friday, April 17, 2026 (Cleaning/ Gauge Tools)
Gas day Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (Cleaning Tool)
Gas day Thursday, April 23, 2026 (Cleaning Tool)
Gas day Tuesday, April 28, 2026 (Combo Tool)
Gas day Thursday, April 30, 2026 (EMAT Tool)
Gas day Friday, May 1, 2026 (EMAT Tool)
The stated scheduling percentage is based upon the current level of firm capacity contracted for during this restriction and is subject to change based upon operational conditions and Shipper utilization.
