Notice Text :
Gulf South Pipeline Company, LLC (“Gulf South”) has limited operational flexibility due to
forecasted colder weather with associated greater demand. As such, effective 12/12/2025 at 09:00
AM, Gulf South is informing shippers that it cannot absorb shipper imbalances on the Expansion
and Legacy systems.
Given the firm transmission demands that are expected on the system during this time period, it
is requested that all shippers balance their transportation and/or storage contracts by
conforming receipts into the system with the deliveries being taken from the system, and to
receive and deliver quantities at a uniform hourly rate of flow, pursuant to General Terms and
Conditions Sections 6.2 [1] and 6.12 of Gulf South’s FERC NGA Gas Tariff (“Tariff”). The “as
practicable,” included in Gulf South’s rate schedules and as described in GT&C Section 6.2[1],
does not apply during this constrained period of time and hourly flow rate of flow should be
uniform in response to these current system conditions. Without correction to shippers’
imbalance usage and flow rates, Gulf South will be required to implement an operational plan.
If shippers do not voluntarily comply with these provisions, the pipeline may declare a Critical
Period or issue an Operational Flow Order, which could result in penalties for shippers, pursuant
to Section 6.18 of the Tariff.
Shippers should monitor the pipeline’s Informational Postings website for further updates and any
notice(s) regarding possible Critical Periods or Operational Flow Orders.
If you have any questions, please contact your customer service representative.
