AGT Operational Advisory

Notice Text:

Algonquin Operational Advisory:

As previously posted, Algonquin Gas Transmission, LLC (AGT) has issued a system wide Operational Flow Order (OFO) due to forecasted higher demand to maintain the operational integrity of the system.  AGT requests that shippers and point operators ensure actual receipts and deliveries are commensurate with scheduled quantities.

In addition, AGT requires that customers/point operators manage their hourly takes from the system.. If customers/point operators do not manage hourly takes from the system, it will lead to delivery pressures being lower than desired across the system..

If necessary, AGT may be required to impose further restrictions or courses of action, including, but not limited to, implementation of flow control for delivery meter locations over-taking in excess of scheduled delivery quantities and/or the restriction of nominations at under-performing receipt meters.  AGT may also issue an hourly OFO at non-performing delivery meters.

In the event AGT is required to take actions such as the issuances of an Hourly OFO, AGT would penalize point operators for any hour in which physical quantities exceed the scheduled quantities' (based on the day ending nominations) hourly entitlements.    If an Hourly OFO is implemented, the penalty shall apply to each dekatherm of actual delivery quantities for each hour that exceeds the greater of 500 Dth or 130% customers hourly entitlements based on the end of day scheduled quantities.   AGT may reduce the tolerance, as system conditions dictate, to protect the integrity of the system.   Retroactive nominations, except for primary firm no-notice transactions, will not be allowed to avoid Hourly OFO penalties.

AGT is continually monitoring the situation and will post any change to system conditions or possible action that may be taken. Shippers and point operations should monitor AGT's Electronic Bullet Board for any operational updates.

Please contact your Operations Account Representative should you have any questions.
