Update - Eastern Triangle Pipeline Winter System Maintenance

TC Energy provides an update and reminder of the in-line inspections that are planned in the Eastern Triangle pipeline system for the 2026 winter season.  The maintenance is required to be conducted during this period to ensure appropriate flow conditions for the inspections. 

 

NPS 30 Barrie line (MLV 123 to MLV 130) - Feb. 11 to Feb. 25:

The in-line inspection is progressing well.  Service impacts are detailed here with current capacities reflected in the Feb. 19, 2026 Maintenance Capacity posting.  A bulletin will be released announcing any changes in dates and capacities if applicable.

 

NPS 20 Montreal line (MLV 139 to MLV 148) – Mar. 1 to Mar. 9:

The dates for this in-line inspection have been revised to Mar. 1 to Mar. 9.  EDA capacity for this maintenance period is expected to be approximately 3465 TJ and is reflected in the Feb. 19, 2026 Maintenance Capacity posting. Firm services to the Eastern Delivery Area (EDA) and downstream export points are not expected to be impacted. Depending on demand levels, discretionary services may be limited past the Union/Enbridge/KPUC/Napanee EDAs to downstream locations (which includes the Energir EDA and export points: Iroquois, East Hereford, Napierville, Phillipsburg, Cornwall).  Dates and capacities are subject to change and will be communicated as required.

 

NPS 20 Montreal Line (MLV 130 to MLV 139) – Mar. 24 to Mar. 31:

The dates for this in-line inspection have been revised to Mar. 24 to Mar. 31.  EDA capacity for this maintenance period is expected to be approximately 3425 TJ and will be reflected in the Mar. 19, 2026 Maintenance Capacity posting. Firm services to the Eastern Delivery Area (EDA) and downstream export points are not expected to be impacted. Depending on demand levels, discretionary services entering the Enbridge CDA and/or the EDAs may be limited during the inspection.  Dates and capacities are subject to change and will be communicated as required.
