    Athens Compressor Station Unplanned Outage


    Notice Text:

    Texas Eastern (TE) has experienced an unplanned outage on its 30" system at the Athens Compressor Station (Athens) in Athens, Ohio and efforts to restore the station to full capacity are underway.  As a result of this outage north to south capacity through stations on the 30 inch line will be reduced to approximately:

     

    Reduced to approximately

    Berne               1,750,000 Dth/d

    Athens             1,750,000 Dth/d

    Wheelersburg  1,750,000 Dth/d

    Danville           1,750,000 Dth/d

    Tompkinsville  1,750,000 Dth/d

    Barton               1,750,000 Dth/d

     

     

    TE will take into consideration the reduced capacity during the timely cycles for future gas days starting Gas Day July 6, 2025. Restrictions to all secondary quantities (in-path and out-path) and a restriction to a portion of primary firm quantities is expected.

     

    In addition, receipt meters between TE's Berne and Uniontown compressor station are expected to see higher than normal pressures until further notice.

     

    TE will post updates to the status of the repairs and any capacity updates as soon as it is known in the TE Major Outage Overview and TE Outage Schedule postings.
