Notice Text
Northern Border Pipeline (NBPL) notifies shippers and point operators that the previously posted Low Inventory OFO (Notice ID: 25974426) is lifted effective for Timely cycle, gas day January 28th. Please contact your Northern Border Customer Service Representative with any questions regarding nominations or scheduling at (866) 581-6487. **Previous Post**Northern Border Pipeline Company (NBPL) previously posted notice to Shippers and point operators of the importance of voluntary imbalance management to ensure pipeline integrity ahead of the upcoming period of sustained cold for the next several days. Based on current conditions, Northern Border Pipeline Company (NBPL) notifies customers of concerns about the operational integrity of its system. Therefore, NBPL is issuing an Operational Flow Order (OFO) effective immediately and until further notice, pursuant to Section 6.10.6.3(d) of NBPL’s FERC Gas Tariff. NBPL is issuing this OFO to maintain adequate system linepack and pipeline operations at pressures required to provide efficient and reliable transportation service. NBPL request that receipt and delivery point operators stay within a daily tolerance of the lesser of 5% or 25,000 Dths of posted nominations. Absent daily and cumulative imbalance management by shippers, NBPL may be required to take further action. Customers can help avoid the issuance of a future OFO by aligning nominations with physical flow. If a future OFO becomes necessary, restrictions may be effective with the next available scheduling cycle. NBPL will provide updates as additional information becomes available. If necessary, point specific restrictions may be effective with the next available scheduling cycle. NBPL will provide updates as additional information becomes available.Shippers should coordinate with upstream and downstream point operators to ensure adherence and prevent the need for further action. NBPL reserves the right to enact additional restrictions as necessary to maintain operational integrity, including adjusting, on a prorated basis, meter capacity based on the remaining hours of the Gas Day. Note that this does not impact capacity for TIM or EVE cycles. This posting will be updated as more information becomes available. At this time, this OFO will remain in effect through January 30, 2026. Please contact your Northern Border Nominations Representative with any questions regarding nominations or scheduling at (866) 581-6487.
