Hurricane Michael – Evacuation of Ship Shoal 207 Platform
Kinetica Deepwater Express (KDE) has been notified by Enbridge Manta Ray Pipeline that all personnel at the Ship
Shoal 207 platform will be evacuated today, October 9, and several receipt locations will shut-in for hurricane
preparation. As a result, the Ship Shoal 207-A meter (KDE SS-207/Manta Ray meter #312544) and the Ship Shoal
207-B meter (KDE SS-207/Enbridge meter #313055) will shut-in at approximately 10:00 AM, and will remain shut-in
until further notice.
Customers are strongly advised to monitor the EBB for updates. For questions during business hours, please
contact the Kinetica Gas Scheduling team at (713) 228-3347 X 420. After hours, please contact the on-call
scheduler (posted on the EBB).
Below is the posted Critical Notice by Enbridge Manta Ray Pipeline, for reference:
Manta Ray - Critical Notice
In anticipation of severe weather conditions resulting from Hurricane Michael, all personnel at the Ship Shoal
332A and Ship Shoal 207 platforms will be evacuated today, October 9, 2018.
The Cleopatra Gathering Pipeline receipt point and the Walker Ridge meter (MR501) at the Ship Shoal 332A
platform will be shut-in at approximately 10:00 AM, and will remain shut-in until further notice.
The Nautilus-B SS207 (meter no. MR037) delivery point at the Ship Shoal 207 platform will be shut-in at
approximately 10:00 AM, and will remain shut-in until further notice. This will also affect the Green Canyon
158 Brutus (MR017) and the Ewing Banks 910 (MR809) receipt points.
Scheduled quantities at affected receipt and delivery points will be reduced to EPSQ for the Intraday 1 cycle
of the October 9, 2018 gas day, and to zero for tomorrow’s gas day and until further notice.
All other receipt and delivery points on Manta Ray’s system will remain in service until further notice.
This event constitutes a point specific Force Majeure for the Cleopatra Gathering Pipeline receipt point at
SS332A, Walker Ridge SS332A (meter no. MR501), and Nautilus-B SS207 delivery point (meter no. MR037),
as specified in Manta Ray’s Gas Gathering Agreements.
