Grand Chenier System Abandonment by Sale to Avocet LNG, LLC
On February 26, 2016, TransCanada Offshore (now Kinetica Deepwater Express) filed for a 7(b)
authorization for an order approving abandonment, by sale, of the Grand Chenier Facilities (Docket
CP16-78) to Avocet LNG, LLC.
On September 22, 2016, FERC issued an order authorizing the abandonment.
Kinetica Deepwater Express has effectuated the sale of the Grand Chenier facilities to Avocet on August
31, 2017.
Effective Gas Day September 1, 2017 at 9:00 AM CT, nominations will no longer be accepted and gas will
not be scheduled on the meters on the Grand Chenier system. The meter list is below.
