Force Majeure – Caprock Station – Unit #2 – Update #1
El Paso Natural Gas Company, L.L.C. (EPNG) continues to experience an equipment failure repair associated with its Caprock Compressor Station Unit #2 located in Lea County, New Mexico and as such the unit remains unavailable. (Reference critical notice No. 626100). Accordingly, the reduction of operational capacity associated with this event is 71,379 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) and continues to impact the CAPROCK N constraint.
Additionally, the equipment failure repair associated with Caprock Station Unit #2 impacts the LUSK constraint and the reduction of operational capacity associated with this event is 22,349 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) effective on November 25, 2025, Timely Cycle, (Cycle 1).
EPNG will be posting an updated maintenance notice to reflect the total impact through these constraints and the impact of the Force Majeure in conjunction with any other planned maintenance or active Force Majeures.
EPNG will provide updates as more information becomes available.
This incident constitutes an event of Force Majeure under Section 11.3 of the General Terms and Conditions of EPNG's FERC Gas Tariff.
