SoCalGas continues to respond to the force majeure event impacting Line 225 near the I-5 Freeway and Ridge Route Road in the community of Castaic. A geotechnical assessment of the affected area is currently underway. This work is expected to be completed by the end of March and will guide SoCalGas's plans to safely replace the damaged segment of pipeline.
Based on current information, construction is expected to begin in April 2026 and could take several months to complete. However, construction timelines may be adjusted pending the outcome of the geotechnical, weather, and other analyses.
Customers are advised to reference the Envoy Capacity Utilization page for the available capacity at these locations for each scheduling cycle.
