MNCA Imbalance Notice -- UPDATE
Notice Text:
Maritimes Canada (MNC) has been experiencing large daily Due Shipper imbalances. Effective for Gas Day January 9, 2026, MNC requires shippers and point operators not to exceed daily due shipper imbalances of 500 GJ or 10% (whichever is greater) regardless of their cumulative imbalances. As such, MNC will not allow Transaction Type 04 nominations in excess of 500 GJ per contract.
To the extent shippers and/or point operators do not adhere to this requirement, MNC may issue customer specific OFOs pursuant to General Terms and Conditions Section 10, in order to maintain the operational integrity of the system.
This OFO will remain in effect until further notice.
Correspondingly, effective 9:00 AM CCT, January 9, 2026, the previously posted imbalance notice is no longer in effect.
Please contact your operations account manager with any questions.
