Force Majeure – Line No. 3191 – Anomaly Repair – South Carlsbad to Pecos River – Update #1
El Paso Natural Gas Company, L.L.C. (EPNG) is providing this update to the Force Majeure declared on Monday, March 17, 2025 (Reference Critical Notice No. 624379) for the Line No. 3191 anomaly repair between South Carlsbad and Pecos River Compressor Station, located in Eddy County, New Mexico. The repair will require a pressure restriction and isolation with a corresponding reduction in operational capacity.
Accordingly, the operational capacity through the CARLSBAD constraint will be reduced to zero dekatherms per day (Dth/d), which is a capacity reduction of by 375,800 dekatherms per day (Dth/d), effective March 19, 2025, Timely Cycle, (Cycle 1).
EPNG will post an updated maintenance notice to reflect the total impact through the CARLSBAD constraint. This reduction in operational capacity will remain in effect until further notice.
EPNG will provide updates as more information becomes available.
This incident constitutes an event of Force Majeure under Section 11.3 of the General Terms and Conditions of EPNG's FERC Gas Tariff.
