Weather Alert – High Winds
Current weather forecasts predict heavy winds in some of the Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C. (CIG) production and service areas beginning midday on Tuesday, February 17th. Local electric utilities, including one major utility, have issued warnings of potential widespread power outages in these areas due to the high winds. As a result, CIG is anticipating potential purchased power impacts at production facilities that could result in gas supply shortfalls onto the CIG system. Therefore, when necessary to minimize imbalances and protect system integrity, underperformance caps may be placed on nonperforming receipt points effective the next available nomination cycle until further notice.
Please monitor the weather forecast and electric utility websites to assist you in matching nominations to non-impacted supply.
